Hatton needs to destroy Castillo if he wants to get credit.

Lots of talk of Cotto and Hatton now. These 2 guys seem to be the main men now PBF is temporarily off the scene. All this talk of the 2 imo means we may be watching a future fight at 147.

Hatton is criticised a damn lot! And he's never sold-out a stadium in his life

He's not loved (or known) outside of Manchester

I think that some people will never give Hatton credit no matter what he does. If he beats Castillo by KO, they'll just say Castillo was washed up anyway. If he fights and defeats Cotto after Castillo, the same people will say Cotto wasn't any good. If he then KO's Mayweather, they will use some other excuse to discredit Ricky.

To me it doesn't matter if he wins easily by stoppage or by close decision, it won't change my opinion of him. The truth is that any kind of win over a formidable opponent like Castillo (55 wins, 47 KO's, still only 33, reportedly in great shape and well prepared for this fight) is a big win. If he comes in great shape and loses, I'll say he fought the good fight, and was beaten by a great fighter in Jose Luis.

The only way I would not respect Hatton and he would lose me as his fan is if I hear he had to crash diet again, and enters the fight in a weakened state because of it. Crash dieting results in the loss of muscle tissue and strength, so it is much better to stay fairly fit between fights.
