i think itd be an interesting turn of events to see mayweather confused as cotto heats up throughout the fight. mayweather, regardless of how accurate he is, wouldnt be able to hurt cotto. that being said, i can see a less-than-active mayweather getting steamrolled as the fight goes on. at the same time, i can see mayweather rising to the occasion and outboxing cotto.

hard to pick if you ask me.
I totally disagree with this statement. Cotto always seems to get hurt by the shot he doesn't see coming and they are normally counter shots without a ton of power behind them so yes Floyd could hurt Cotto.

im not saying floyd's punches wouldnt hurt cotto. im sure a horsefly bite would hurt cotto. im just saying i dont think floyd has the power to deter cotto from coming forward.

I don't think there is a fighter out there that would keep Cotto from coming forward that is just his style but against Floyd I think that could be his downfall with Floyd catching him with his accurate counters. That's just my opinion it definately would be a good fight but I see Floyd coming out on top whether it would be UD or stoppage from cuts.

If floyd fights the way he fought against Oscar..he will lose.

Different figher, Different strategy. Much more reason to be careful when you are way out of your weight class against a bigger man with good boxing skills. The opportunities weren't that plentiful against DLH b/c he is not the all out attacker that Cotto is. Since Cotto is such a relentless attacker Mayweather has many more chances to counter and move as he so loves to do. I think Cotto is a great fighter but this presents a bad style match up for him.

u hit da mark i believe everything u said except for da part of pbf winning. its just my opinion but i dont think floyd can run fast enough to escape cotto unless he gets da larger ring(problably da case) but he'll tire out and cotto's liver shot will keep floyd from letting his hands go. so cotto ud but close on da scorecards.

Right now, Cotto is better than Oscar, and would pressure Floyd a hell of a lot more the DLH did. He'll let his hands go, cuz he has youth on his side. Oscar was one round away from winning, Cotto would pull off more rounds than Oscar did. Also, Mayweather does not have enough pop to keep Miguel off of him. Miguel has questionable whiskers but he won't be stopped anytime soon, he has great ability to recover. He's been in there with some murderous punchers and always pulled it off (Shane, Ricardo Torres, Randall Bailey, Mohamad Abdulaev, Kelson Pinto, Carlos Maussa) Floyd can't hurt him and Floyd will avoid the fight, too bad we'll never see it happen.

I think PBF will win by decesion but he will get beat up in the fight..it will be close but PBF tends to come on strong towards the later rds..were Cotto fades a little.
