This was the first thing i thought of after watching the fight just now.
If Cotto keeps performing like that surley Mayweather will have to fight him.
I wouldnt blame him for not wanting to, but Cotto seems to have the kind of relentless style that would really test PBF.

Id say Cotto is probably better that Castillo was when he fought PBF. (?)

I've been saying for over a year that by 2008 Cotto will be able to give Floyd one hell of a fight. Once Floyd slows down a little and Cotto is reaching his prime, Miguel would have the best chance of anybody. DLH was great, but not good enough. Mosley is a poor-man's Floyd, and Hatton just doesn't have the skills in the ring to get it done. Cotto keeps getting better and better. I'm hoping that Cotto busts Margarito's ass next though.

floyd by a lopsided ud imho ,floyd just to fast, get in and get out ,great defense, knows how to move around the ring, rarley gasses, on the other hand he has had problems with great pressure fighters like castillo back in the day but he progressed alot, i see cotto getting caught flush over and over and just applying the pressure more and more but floyd running more and more throwing a few combos getting in and out and getting cotto frustrtaed to the point cotto opens up a little to much , result being floyd does enough to win on cards ,and cotto dosent stop fighting and shows tremendous heart.

The thing i think is most important here is that Cotto has great stamina and would land big shots throughout the fight. Eventhough most would hit Floyds arms or gloves, they would still have great power in them, and might just be able to slow down Floyd, maybe even break him up.

Flyd doesnt just run, he covers up, and thats where Cotto's big power shots would be most effective.

I like Cotto and believe he would give Floyd a tough fight but Cotto seems to get hurt/wobbled by shots he don't see and that's not necessarily hard shots. I would pick Floyd by UD but could see Floyd really having to fight for 12 full rds. to earn a victory.

I would pick Floyd by UD but could see Floyd really having to fight for 12 full rds. because of Cotto's pressure and determination to earn a victory.

I just think that the agressive fighters such as Cotto tend to loser their agression when confused. Kind of like Tito vs. Wright/Hopkins. Mayweather is very confusing becuase it's hard to find angles to hit him where it will be effective. Judah although a great talent is very predictable. Mayweather will puzzle Cotto. And for sure would take advantage of Cotto being an open target up the middle.

I think it would mirror the DLH fight. Being that Floyd would dominate the center of the ring. And in the corner would dodge a majority of the shots Cotto throws.
