Zab could have won easily if he was more active.

Props to you for being a boxing fan and recognizing that your fighters like it or not can evantually lose

it is time for Zab to be his own man!!!!!

first hats off to Cotto.... you have loose defense but.... you win
all fighter that have they father as a trainer feel the need to break and be there own man Zab time is now he looked unprepared for the pressure in anyway i don't know how much could be expected out of zab but if he could make 140 comfortably i believe the sky could be the limit with a trainer like freddy roach, steward, anybody but his dam father.... i know some people on here talk to boxers if u talk to zab plz tell him to be a man and find a new trainer...
        corrales left after 1st lost
        mayweather left his father
        mosley left his father
tito didn't leave his father and only know one way to fight cause of it
ZAB LEAVE YOUR FATHER you only know one way to fight as of now
if ur 29 like it says that 4-6 years of boxing left time to see if u can expand what u bring to the table
        cotto.... congradulations... for now

What I take from this is the one thing we have always known that Zab fades in fights. But what I learned is that Cotto is like fine wine, he gets better with time. He was taking huge bombs in the early rounds and getting wobbled but then he was taking the same bombs late in the fight and was only hurt by a huge flurry by Zab in the seventh. He also has that relentless attack to the body which makes it even harder for his opponents to go late into the fight.

If he threw more left hands perhaps he COULD HAVE stopped Cotto late, but he DIDNT. And I dont think it would've been easy.

You summed it up about as well as one could.

I hate it when people say woulda, coulda, shouldas, and give guys passes for their shortcomings. If you watched Zab against any decent competition, you'd see even when things are going good, he is really twitchy and unsure when he throws. Just because someone could have done something doesnt mean they are mentally prepared to do that. Its what seperates fighters who have exeptional skills like Zab, those who are mentally able to do what it takes, and those will only go as far as their physical skills will take them. Thats why at the top levels they say the game is won mentally.
