but at 147 Floyd would be more in his element. Plus, Oscar is taller then Floyd and he has never been a good pressure fighter. He does not throw punches in bunches. Cotto is much too economical in his punch output to even put a dent in Floyd, IMO.

well, mayweather doesnt have a slim female waist like judah does. so cotto would have an easier time landing bodyshots.

both zab and floyd throw pot shots, just floyd throws more of em, if cotto can pick em off, or stop em.

lol ****....you'd be lookin at another bruised up fighter.

Didn't think so before, but now I do.

Are we all forgetting how well Jose Luis Castillo did against Mayweather? You don't have to be a volume puncher like Hatton to beat Mayweather.

Mayweather won't be able to get Cotto's respect with his light punching and tiptoeing away, instead Cotto will cut the ring off and trap Mayweather in a corner with his tail between his legs and start unloading.

Did you not see the waves of punches coming from Cotto tonight? If he could do that against Floyd, particularly trying to land the body shots as I think that may be Mayweather's soft spot, then I don't see why he couldn't beat him.

He throws alot of punches but he is economical and slow with them. He would need to throw with less power and with more speed. Basically, more in volume because Floyd would see the left and right's coming all night long. He would need to fight like Aaron Pryor to have any sort of a shot in my opinion.

Ive said for a while now that Miguel has the tools to beat Mayweather. Could he get it done though? Im not sure. Mayweather is so quick, and intelligant in the ring. Despite what people say he is really one of the best fighters ever skill wise. Its just his resume after Lightweight that hurts him. Its a fight that has to happen imo if Cotto beats Margarito.

And I want to talk about Cotto's chin for a second. Im honestly confused by it. I realize hes getting hit with quick shots while he comes in, and Judah is a big puncher. I dont know what Larry was talking about. Its just weird how he reacts like that, and then gathers himself so quickly. Then next thing you know hes back on the offensive. Maybe its his heart and determination, maybe his chin isnt that bad? I dont know.

As a huge Cotto fan and Mayweather fan..... Cotto would get dominated!
everytime Zab threw quick shots and counter he hurt Cotto... Mayweather would be putting a clinic.... total mismatch

I just think Mayweather is too smart to lose to Cotto. He's not going to stand in there. And Mayweather will primarily stay in the middle of the ring and pop him straight through the guard.

If you look at the way De La Hoya boxed against Mayweather he tried to box in short bursts 3 or 4 times a round but often the punches were blocked or were weak. If Cotto employed the same tactic he would, presumably, be able to have more of these bursts per round and also be more accurate which could see him win enough rounds to win the fight. Mayweather's pot shots wont look like much compared to heavy pressure from Cotto.
