should there just be 1 championship belt in each weight class instead of having 4 because it there was just 1 wede see a lot better fights and it would clealy show who was the best in that weight

I think there should be one undisputed championship belt. Ideally, they should get rid of the other ABC title belts. Or perhaps, the other titles could continue to exist, but there should be a unification fights - perhaps a playoff or tournament every two years - for the undisputed title.Last edited by Steelhammer86; 06-09-2007, 02:31 PM. -

There should only be one belt. Period. It would solve so many of boxing's problems and create a wider interest in the sport as a whole. I mean, how many of you are asked by a friend, "Who's the heavyweight champion?" and you have to turn around and say "There are four at the moment!" It's ******.
One belt per weight class. It would be the best thing to happen to boxing for decades.Comment

For sure one belt for each weightclass would be good for boxing. It would create more stars that are recognizable to the public and create better matchups all around. With four champs you can duck certain opponents with one belt that wouldn't be the case.Comment

There are too many weight classes, used to be 8, now there's 16, add to that all the sanctioning bodies= FUBAR.....
Everyone is a champion, everyone fights 12 rounders. It's a mess.
Boxing needs:
15 round fights.
8 oz. gloves.
3 Titles, WBA, WBC, IBF
Referee scores the bout, along with judges.Comment
