    ROFL, you can't be serious. Ali broke records with the size of his purses. How do you think he made that money when PPV was not nearly what it was today? Almost all the revenue they received was from box-office tickets. Ali-Frazier tickets were at such a premium that Frank Sinatra took the job of photo-journalist just to be ring side.

        Exactly, You can go sit in the cheap seats for $25-$50 at large events. This is purely economics. Even if the fighters made less, and the venues were less expensive, they would stll sell tickets at "market" price because that means more money for the promoters. Simple supply and demand.
