Depends on the event. Big events in Vegas and Cotto-Judah in MSG will always be at a premium however there is good live boxing for cheap around NYC. Moehgan Sun is gonna host the Paulie-N'Dou fight and those tickets are 1/4 of the price of Cotto-Judah fight. There is also the Hamerstein ballroom, foxwoods, atlantic city. These are all relatively inexpensive and often offer good matchups and good fights.

The average fight is affordable, though. Margarito-Williams tickets cost me $300 each for ringside. I think that's a fair price for that fight...

It's all about the purse bids and site bids. Sometimes a venue will charge as much as $90,000.00 for a single nights rent, then you have to add the amount that the fighters demand to fight each other, which can be obviously millions of dollars. Add the purse bid and the venue bid and then divide the number of seats in the venue, and you get a ticket price....

There are other seats other than ringside also. Depending on the arena I prefer to be seated at the very first above floor seating. Its close enough that I see close action and high enough that I can see action on the other side of the ring.
