This is gonna be a fun fight to watch - no matter who wins it!
Cotto is not my boy, I think I have a pretty objective view of this fight.

Ask me about June 23 and you may get a homer opinion because Castillo is my boy.

Sure Judah has some power but has it really been on display at 147 pounds? Icing Corey Spinks and Cosme Rivera doesnt really have me convinced.

JD-how many times have you seen Cotto hurt at 147? 0 right.

I like alot of others think the 7 pound jump was exactly what the doctor ordered for Cotto...lets just say this...early on if Zab lands the straight left hand and Cotto walks thru it the FIGHT IS OVER-agreed.

It's the fight game - you just never really know untill it's over. Stranger things have happened - you may see Cotto out cold, or it may be the other way around who knows?! The only thing I do know for sure is - that I am really looking forward to this one!

If he quits in this fight or gets iced then he will no longer command million dollar paydays, paydays he most likely needs to keep up his lifestyle.

So Saturday night is a chance for Zab to really change his status as a fighter which is great for Zab no doubt but more importantly Zab is getting paid and I could be wrong but I think the money is what made him take this fight, not the potential status as a fighter he would garner if he won it.

Does anyone think the money even crossed Cotto's mind? Sure Miguel is younger, undefeated...he has many more lives to burn then the older shop warn Judah but still-the money is in Zab's head and the MAIN reason he took this fight, the status as a fighter is what currently motivates Cotto and is the reason he took this fight.

I dont know if it matters in terms of what your motiviation is do you?

          Does anyone have a thought?
I understand your logic but Zab ain't hurting for money..He is in the music business as well as clothing and tennis shoes...He has made millions over the past few years..One year off aint hurting him one bit..

Now Cotto on the other hand, this fight will help him financially more than Zab..

            BTW, he's a night stalker ....

Besides that, Zab is a friend of mine, so you know I've got to back my friend!

Personaly though, I see this one as "who can land the big one first" and trust me my friend, Zab is MUCH faster than Cotto, it is easy to see him being able to land a bomb on Cotto before Miguel gets his punch off. That will be the case the entire time until the TKO stoppage.

Zab wins it in an impressive performance....

.....Aside from picking against the Klits and losing each time you do it, you may have a point. I think Cotto is going to break Zab down and give him a brutal beating. Zab has always been overated and he is going to get hurt in this one.

You are correct, I am not a big Klitschko fan, they have some skills, but their style just doesn't do it for me.

On this fight though, I doubt Cotto has the skill to beat Zab - but as I said, it's the fight game and you just never know until it's over! I just think after watching Zab in the gym, he's going to be fast, and he definately has some good pop. The edge goes to Zab in alot of ways in this one.

                  Speed - Zab
Over all boxing skills - Zab
                  Movement/Footwork - Zab
Power - it's close, but I will go with Cotto, barely.
Chin - it's pretty equal there.
Experience in BIG fights - Zab
                  Better Opponants - Zab
Hungry for a win - Zab
Needs a win more - Zab
                  Mental Focus - Cotto

This is where Zab has let us down in the past. He didn't show it in the Baldy fight AT ALL and he didn't show it when things got tough in the Mayweather fight either. I saw on Countdown that he said he doesn't get up for Baldomir-type fights, well that means you aren't a great fighter. I'm no Mayweather fan, but he trains hard for every fight no matter who the opponent and he shows it in the ring.

I agree he is hungry for a win here, but I would also like to point out that there is no way Cotto is not hungry for a win, and possibly hungier considering the occasion (parade, first HBO PPV main event fight, springboard to elite status, etc.)

You picked the perfect thing to call him on...either way there is absolutely no metric to really gage who the **** is hungrier.

If you HAD to gage it would be by as you suggest-what you have displayed in the ring and if that is our metric Judah is certainly not the hungrier fighter as his freind suggests.
