is Hatton hated by all Americans?

It sometimes puzzles me why some people are so jealous of Ricky Hatton. But then again, he is the Ring champion at light welterweight, and has a 42-0 record, one of the best in boxing! And he's such a great guy too.

I like Ricky Hatton, I would like to see him challenge himself at welterweight. There's no real competition for him at 140 lbs.

Most Americans have no clue who Ricky Hatton is, so no. Most Americans do not hate Ricky Hatton.

its just like when there on about like will Hatton PBF happen theres always posts saying things like he should fight high standard boxers like cotto, mosley and judah before he can get a chance at PBF. they also say things like Collazo beat Hatton and they say Collazo was robbed. IMO i think Hatton would already have a chance at PBF

In general terms Hatton is a popular guy. But on these boards people who dislike him seemed to have found their way here. Perhaps because Hatton is a threat to their fave boxer. Witter seems to be having an easy ride though.

Hatton is hated by americans, thats why ESPN and ring magazine awarded him fighter of the year in 2005.
