Kimbo is overmusculed, I mean if you are young it is much easier to carry muscle, but the older you get -- the weaker your heart gets--the harder it is to supply your body with oxygen.

At least that guy had a little bit of ability unlike most of Kimbo's opponents, but his hands were far too low and he was probably hand-picked to make Kimbo look like he's beaten someone decent. Why can't these guys keep their guard up though? It seems such a simple thing to do. These guys take some brutal punishment.

Haha, I can't believe so many people think Kimbo is a big puncher. He isn't he just flails with his arms, he throws arm punches there are nothing behind them. Maybe he is a harder puncher than the average Joe walking down the street but for a professional heavyweight combat athlete whether it be boxing or MMA, he is not a big puncher. Like I've said before, if Kimbo can take Mercer to the ground then we'll see what happens, he might have a chance at least. If Kimbo decides to stand with Ray Mercer then he might get himself killed, and the best case scenario for Kimbo would be to just get brutally KO'd, definately inside of 2 minutes.

His **** to be honest.
Great for a street fighter but when it comes to someone else with half
decent skills its over for him..

I reckon Mercer could beat him both ways boxing and street fighting..

On paper its a good fight Mercer obvisously could punch better then Kimbo in his prime whether he still got his power I dont know. I seen Mercer kickboxing and he looked shot but as its both their 1st MMA fight its gonna be interesting to see who has the better capabilities at grappling and stuff or whether it comes down to punching in which case Mercers got to have the upper hand.

I didnt think they were having the MMA rules or anything i thought it was a straight up boxing match..

mercer doesn't have to be in the same shape he was against morrison to beat kimbo, being in the shape he was when he lost to briggs is more than sufficient...at lest he went 7 rounds.

As far as I know the Mercer Vs Slice fight is MMA rules fight in a cage, Mercer looked awful in the kickboxing I seen him in but against Slice who is a puncher it should be a different story cos if neither of thems grappled before they gonna stick to punching.
Mercer in his prime could hit hard whether he can still hit hard enough we'll have to wait and see.
I'm looking forward to seeing them battle the only thing I hate about boxers going into MMA is its always when theyre washed up so its not a true reflection of howd theyd do really.
