Actually I'm 29 and I am being silly.....People take **** to seriously.I think marriage is a ****ing joke anyway with the divorce rate as high as it is,Gays being allowed to marry and an immoral society in general has really taken the sacredness out of marriage.....so actually after further thought yes.....why should a man marry a woman if she won't satisfy him when called upon?

This isn't exactly a "never told before" story, as I've seen stories on Tyson's Moscow freak out going back a number of years, and I believe Reg Gutteridge's book (from the mid 90's) on Tyson also mentions the incident where Tyson loses it it in a drunken rage and forces himself on Givens while in Moscow.

An interesting sidenote to this is that's also the incident/day (Sept 20th, 1988) where Phyliss Polaner claimed Tyson sexually & physically assaulted her (as well as threatening her life), which is a claim that eventually cost Tyson a few bucks out of his pocket before the case hit the courts.

With all the stuff going on in Tyson's fragile mind at the time during that month (the suicide attempt, the hurling of furniture through windows, the numerous suicide threats, the attacking of cameramen, etc., etc.), it wouldn't suprise me in the least if Tyson did do what Givens is claiming, especially considering Tyson's shady history with woman in even the "best" of times.

I seem to have a bit of a problem with taking people too seriously. I don't mean to, that's just how I am lately. Letting all the crap that's wrong with the world get me down, since I cannot seem to change it.

You are right about divorce rates, I think it is because so many people get married too young. They have no idea what "the rest of their lives" could be.
