A lot of people were saying that Sultan couldn't be good enough to beat Briggs, because he didn't defeat Austin.
Here's how their thinking was wrong:
They underrate Austin because Wlad beat him so easily, because they underestimate how good Wlad really is. The truth is, as I said before, Austin is a decent but not great fighter like Sultan, and that Briggs sucks. Austin is better than Briggs. And Briggs is the worst heavyweight titleholder in the history of boxing, someone who beat Lyakhovich with a lucky punch. Lyakhovich was a overrated, mediocre fighter who was lucky Brewster had an eye injury or he never would have won a title.Comment

Honestly, I don't know what sane person thought briggs was going to win tonight. The only fight that he put a decent effort into was against lewis, and still lost that fight. He has an extremly padded record other then fighting lewis and an old foreman. And Foreman beat him, just got robbed at the end of the day.Comment

Why would it bother us Yanks? I'm a Klitchko fan, as well as Liakovitch. Also like Cotto (PR), and Calzaghe (UK) is one of my favorites. Briggs is an idiot no matter what language you're speaking in.
