no if briggs would have done that he'd have been knocked out. every time briggs did come forward and throw a big shot he'd get caught and hurt with sultans left. sultan was just too fast for him and briggs knew it which is why he couldnt get agresssive even when there was only seconds left in the fight. he didnt wanna walk into anymore lefts from sultan and took the easy route losing a decision instead of going out on his back

....You may have a point there and I think Briggs was more than a little stunned a few times. Why else wouldnt he go for broke at the end??

im not talking about coming forward. when briggs came forward, sultan was definitely catching him and making him pay. but in rounds 10,11, and 12, sultan would lead with the straight left and briggs was countering somewhat with a little right hook. it at the very least caused sultan to not lunge in like he was doing earlier, and caused him to be less active also

You is crazy. I didn't see Sultan land more than a handful of good, clean punches the whole fight... and at best 1 dazed Briggs for a 1/4 of a second. Briggs was never in any trouble the entire fight.

Hah, I didn't pick either fighter because it was/is a joke of a heavyweight title fight. Every "big punch" with the exception of a handful were easy to see were partially blocked or not landing flush. I'm not suggesting by any stretch of the imagination that Sultan didn't win... but take his **** out of your mouth.
