How do you guys rate Sultan's performance? A? B?...

A. He did everything he had to do to win and he did it perfectly. Briggs is a tub of steroidal ****, and that 115-113 judge should be shot. Probably one of Don King's friends or relatives. I thought that the Sultan won all 15 rounds.

that one judge who had it 115-113 should be banned from ever judging again. i had it 120-110 for ibragimov. saltun won every round although i did have 2 draws or close rounds.

sultan threw off briggs timing and hit briggs with better punches than he recieved.

it didn't look like briggs was being too aggressive. he also seemed to have a hard time breathing in some rounds. briggs had maybe 3 good flurries throughout the fight.

briggs was tired at the end of the 2nd round. one thing briggs DID start doing was countering the straight left with a right hand + sometimes a left hook. in rounds 10/11/12 he was doing it and caused sultan to be more cautious and not throw as much. if he would have done that from the beginning the fight may have been closer

i had it 117-111 sultan because i gave rounds 10 and 11 to briggs for the countering he was doing. it wasnt much but sultan wasnt as active in those rounds

he landed 4 punches flush in round 10. 2 right hands right in a row when sultan threw a lunging left. there was a tight left hook in there too. enough to take the round

...119-109 was the best score from the judges. Sultan looked much better in this one and Briggs just didn't do anything. He was just bidding his time waiting for the big shot. He landed 2-3 of those big rights but Sultan took them with ease and was never in trouble. Hats off to Sultan for stepping up from the Austin fight.
