Boxing is far more popular in the US, has a greater pool of potential talent to choose from considering it's population is nearly 6 times that of the UK. there is no excuse for it NOT to be the USA. Although, Hatton and Calzaghe would own any American in their respective divisions.

Id say theres a similar amount of professional boxers in the US and the UK, and the US has far better fighters. Just because theres alot of people, doesnt mean they all box. They play football, basketball and baseball.
