To be honest, if this fight gets signed for Denmark, then pretty much all of his critics needs to back down. If he wins, then realistically they should all start worshipping the guy.

I'm skeptical when it comes to anything Frank Warren says. So i'm going to wait for an official announcement, would be a helluva fight though.

Hope it comes off. And ill belive it when i see it.

"Mogens Palle (Kessler's promoter) made an offer for Joe to fight Kessler in Denmark in September. We've accepted and are awaiting a contract," he said.

"It's not a done deal until it's signed but we've accepted. It's now up to Palle to send a contract."

This is the best fight that could happen in the world today, as far as I'm concerned. I didn't think Warren would allow it. I think Calzaghe will win, but it'll be highly competetive, with both fighters seeing the canvas at least a time or two. I hope like hell they televise it here in the US.

Personally id rather see Calzaghe vs Roy Jones, but if this fight happens in denmark calzaghe should get credit,

Thing is, why did he fight manfredo? no point if he gonna fight kessler and not taylor, but taylor is more concerned with pavlik so i understand that.

Credit to Joe if he does the fight in Denmark.

Hope it all happens. I reckon Calzone must read NSB and has got pissed off with the trillions of threads saying he should fight Kessler.

I reckon Calzone should pick his fights carefully, he's only got a few more fights left in him. His fists are made of glass and eventually he won't be able to box anymore.

Why Manfredo? I'd guess it was just a tune-up, or to keep busy, and get a payday. He knew (just like everyone else) that it was a low-risk fight with a decent payday, and why not keep busy? If I were able to make a minimum of a couple of million no matter who I fought, and also knew that I could win the fight with almost no risk of injury or loss, I'd be fighting every other week.....but then I'm a greedy bastard.

You make it sound as though he didnt try to get the Hopkins, Taylor or Wright fight after Manfredo. It seems to me that (although I still think that it was a decent profile-raising idea) it ultimately cost him. After seeing the premature stoppage it gave all of them an excuse to price themselves out of fighting Calzaghe. I wouldnt be surprised if there has been preliminary talks about the winner of Cal vs Kess facing the winner of Hopkins vs Wright. If Calzaghe comes out of those two fights undefeated, Taylor will have to fight him or make it quite clear that he is running from him. Calzaghe's legacy would be pretty much assured as a truly great fighter.

If it all happens of course.

And of course you know this because you have inside information on hopkins and everyone else that none of us do.

Are you serious? lol. Fighting Kessler for me is good for JC, i have never said he wouldnt win that fight, but for me it doesnt make him a 'truly great' fighter,

Truly great figher for me is someone like James toney who went from 160 to heavyweight, or Mayweather who moved up 5 weights and stayed unbeaten, or de la hoya who moved up six weights and fought pretty much everyone there was.

But JC deserves credit if he fights in Denmark, for me it doesnt change a thing though, i have always said joe is the best at 168 and if he beat Kessler it just reinforces that.
