As far as the weight discrepancy, the Sultan has mostly fought and defeated men who outweighed him considerably, Whitaker by 52 pounds. Sultan is ten pounds lighter than he was vs. Austin.

You should have mentioned his fight with McCline which is 5 years ago.. Shannon fought with a back injury and was really out of shape in that fight..
I think Briggs chances these days are better because he seems to conserve his energy better, I just wish there will be no asthma attack in this fight and not gas sooner... I watched his fight a year ago against journeyman Chris Koval, he also weighed 273 lbs in that match. He moved better and seems to have more gas compared to that Liakhovich fight and threw more punches although his opponent is subpar.
Oh wait! Ibragimov is subpar! j/k, but he does have poor defense and tends to drop his hands everytime he punches. Didn't Shannon take advantage of that everytime Sergei was dropping his hands to attack the body?
That's why I wouldn't be surprised if Shannon wins by KO in round 1
