PBF was fighting a bigger man who is one of the best fighters of his generation. Hatton is fighting a smaller man moving up who is good, but not great. Big difference...

DLH was in some peoples opinions a modern great once upon a time, and when he fought PBF was considered very good. Hatton is fighting a smaller man is he? Castillo is a big man by anyones standards. When he stopped Corrales he weighted a comfortable weight for himself at 138+lbs. He is a big guy now. He took PBF all the way twice so he was obviously great in 2 fights. Can he get back to that form? Castillo would say yes i bet, and he expects himself to reclaim that form against Hatton!.?

        Yes...

Castillo weighed 138 when he beat Corrales? Mayweather weighed 130 when he beat Corrales, yet was fighting at 154 just a month ago. Is Hatton fighting a smaller man? Clearly. Castillo has been able to make 135 for most of his career. Hatton has never been able to make 135. You get it?

If Castillo was a great fighter, he would have no problem moving to 140 and dominating. His struggles against Ngoudjo have clearly shown that at 140 he is not the fighter he was at 135.

Castillo-Ngoudjo was just like Hatton-Collazo. The only difference being Hatton struggled with a paper champion while Castillo struggled with an untested prospect...

This isn't 2002 anymore. Sorry to burst your bubble...

Is Castillo supposed to say he's shot, been in too many wars, and really doesn't have the drive to be a great boxer anymore? He won't tell us the truth. Be serious...

This is going to be like Barrera/Hamed. Castillo is going to win.

It will be nothing like Barrera/Hamed.

Ricky will win, It'll be a war no doubt but Rick will win a UD or maybe even a late K.O

But if PBF started down at 130 how come he is considered a bigger man than Hatton, when Hatton has never been that low as 135?

Fighters can get themselves up for big matches and castillo will be able to get up for Hatton. Forget about how he did against ngoudjo. Hatton will perform better than he did against the urangos of this world as well.

Its not a case of telling the truth. If he didnt think he had what he had in the past he would get out of the game.

So when a fighter is past his prime, he always retires?

Not really, but you are saying Castillo is not as good as he was, because yiou dont think he has performed as good as yoiu think he has in the past. But Castillo might not neccesarily think he is past his best.
I expect Castillo thinks he can beat Hatton or he wouldnt take the fight. He aint taking the fight to lose.

Well, Hatton hasn't really shown himself to be some unbeatable force. He's looked very vulnerable recently, so I think Castillo believes he can win the fight. But he is most definetely taking this fight for a payday. There's no one else at 140 who will make him anywhere near the kind of money he will make for this fight...
