Shannon had talent and a lot of schooling, but no I'm sorry he wasn't going to beat Savon in any lifetime.

He's probably been on steroids at some point, for an extended period, in his life. Whether he's on them now or not...who knows? He does have WAY too much muscle mass to be highly competetive at the very top level. He needs to weigh in at around 225 to 235 max.

If he were to trim off some of the extra mass, and start doing some serious roadwork, I could see him being a challenge for Wladimir Klitchko, but if he were to step into the ring with him now (or any time soon), he'd get KO'd by the 5th round. He's got good handspeed, loads of power, and decent skill, but he's just completely out of gas by the 4th. Someone with Klitchko's power and boxing skill would eat him up. Liakovitch nearly put him out, and he doesn't have near Klitchko's ability and KO power, not to mention size. Briggs is fun to watch against gatekeepers, but he'd just be sad against someone who truly has their **** in one sock.

we weet to the PAL nationals one year in Jersey and I had a buddy that had to fight Briggs. Yeah, he wasnt nearly as big back then. My buddy only had a handfull of bouts under his belt and it wasnt long before Shannon put it on him. I believe that it may have been in '91, the same year as the video.

Shannon has gotten MUCH bigger since then. Bodies can be developed through hard work and diet, it does not always mean that they are juicin'..................Rockin'

i think he is on HGH, but it is possible he's just a genetic freak. that extra beef really does hurt him though. he's gassed just stepping into the ring thses days. i think shannon should trim his ass down to about 245, and he'd still have good punching power and probably a lot more speed and stamina
