What has happened to todays boxers?

I remember when top boxers,(Back in the day I mean) the real Champs looked to fight anyone anywhere, in there division, Thats how these Great fights happend, The fights that have gone down in history..

Who is to blame for the route that boxing has now taken?

Where has all the Heart in boxing gone?

As I have not seen it in the last few fights I have seen, The Spinks Vs Taylor fight was a flop total flop...The way I see it at the moment in M.O is that there are 2 English guys who are both up for it both have true heart in the sport but both cant get the fights they wont?
If Mayweather retires then Hatton will clean up....Maybe! And to be honest no one is gonna do Joe hands down but hes out there saying bring me the best, Why dont these guys stop talking about £7-8 million and all that and get down to the real stuff and thats boxing. I wont to see fighters fighting the best out there, Not delaying fights, Then taken them when one fighter is past his best..Bring back the old fashion Tear ups as Nigel Benn use to say

right on. boxing always was a business. it has been since the beginning of the twentieth century. one of the differences it seems is that the fighters take it more as a business and less as a passion to be the best. money has replaced the pride of being a "fighter."

Just to let you know I've been watching boxing for a long time, big fights just didn't happen overnight, sometimes it took even longer back in the old days then it does now.

So I don't agree with what you saying at all.

I hate to say it and some people will probably disagree with me but we do need someone like ''Dana White'' for boxing.

i dont liek it either, but if the guy knows that they are willing to pay the, 7 - 8 million, of course they will deny when they offer them less money.
also a lot of the boxers recognize that they love the money.

                  A) they realize that being a "prizefighter" is nothin but BS

                  B) this is unlike any other sport and they can very well die in the ring or suffer serious life-long injuries

                  C) the ups and downs of boxing are crazy, and while on top, you have to play the business game and make as much money possible to set up the rest of your life... they devote their whole life to boxing and its all or nothing...

basically, GOTTA MAKE THAT MONEY WHILE THEY CAN, cuz it isn't gonna be there long.
