So you SHOULD care if people are watching, because it indirectly affects how ull watch the game
That will never happen, boxing will always have big fights, I actually enjoy my favorite sport is not watched by many people, I don't like popular sports.

I will enjoy watching my fights, that's all I care about, I don't care if other people want to watch boxing or not.

What they really need to do is get rid of these ****** boxing politics so the public can get the matches they really want to see. There are alot of good matchups we would really like to see and will make money, but the ****** promoters and their politics are ****ing it up.

Also, rematches need to be scheduled quicker than they do now. A rematch should happen within the same year. At least six months from the 1st fight and superstar fighters should have multiple fights per year. At least 3 per year... 2 minimum. Most high-paid superstar boxers have less than 1 fight per year. Sometimes it's 1 per every 2 years. That's sad.

In today's fast paced world, with the WWE generation where the superstars fight week after week, and have constant rematches month after month. It's hard for the youth to follow up. I know pro-wrestling is another story (fake/scripted), but boxing needs to have better cards and get their fighters more involved.

I would get on the Pay Per View issue. But I think it's fine. As long as it can generate exciting fights that will catch the public's interest, I will not argue PPV. PPV is not what's killing boxing. Although, charging $50 for 2 tomato cans can be absurd. Those fights should be on Showtime for free at least.

When you think about it. A superstar event at $54.95 ain't really that bad today. Back in the day of Tyson and before, The PPV would be around the same price; and in those time gas prices were about $0.89 a gallon. So now with gas prices being over $4.00 a gallon, $54.95 doesn't seem as bad as it did back then.

You should care(though its hardly panic mode now, just look at the pbf-dlh buyrate), because the less people watch boxing, the lower the purses, and the lower the purses, the smaller the motivation to make big, risky fights.

Boxing is the highest paid fighting sport by a wide margin....

Peeks and valleys in popularity and peeks and valleys in talent pools. Boxing is going to be just fine. Some changes are neccesary though if they wasnt to continue to draw in the commoner from the outside........................Rockin'

This is way more then a "VALLEY"

And it has nothing to do with the talent pool, we have some all time greats still fighting today.

And future All Time Greats making there way up.

Boxing is popular around the world. But if you're talking about in the U.S then yeah its in a valley. I blame the marketing. The fact that the average American thought Delahoya-Mayweather was a superfight matching two all-time greats is laughable. We had Delahoya-Mayweather shoved down our throats since the day it was announced. While more important fights like Hopkins-Winky, Barrera-Marquez, Taylor-Winky etc. go un-noticed. Theres future all-time greats in this sport but they arent marketed well. And the fact that the heavyweight division pretty much sucks doesnt help. But I'm a true boxing fan who knows a good fighter when I see one. I dont need the American media to tell me which fighters are great.

Peaks and valleys my boy, they have come, gone and come back.

When I say talent pool I mean the depth of talent. Yeah, 1 fighter or in a rare occurance two great fighters in the same weight division. Back when you could scroll through the top 10's in any division and pull up a hand full of what could be considered great fighters. There is still talent, just that talent doesnt run deep into any division at the time.............Rockin'
