Boxing will be "Swollowed" If changes arent made before 2008

Before the end of this year, Boxing has to make a drastic change that will catch the medias eye.

    Just my opinion.

But if nothing is done, the downward decline will continue very slowly until nobodies watching anymore. And that could be sooner then u think. Maybe 10 years.

And by change, i mean anything.

Even if its just a mention.

Like a mention of a deal where somewhere in the near future, 1 champ per division.

Maybe some of our hottest stars sign contracts with major companies like NIKE and ADIDAS.

Maybe Promoters will make a deal with eachother, and finally big fights can be made without these bitchy promoters complaining all the time.

    Just something

Sounds like a great idea, but sadly to say that it will never happen. Promoters just want to make the most money possible, and they don't really give a **** about boxing in general. It would be wonderful to have one champion per weight, but the championship organizations also want to cash in as much money as they can by having more championships.

Exactly! Also I could careless if people watch boxing or not, I know boxing will never die and I will always have great fight to look for, what the hell I care if it's popular or not.

              You guys gotta wise up.

Boxing isnt fine at all, it's in dire trouble.

Olympics will hopefully produce a star, but they arent soon at all. another year.

Because will remain what it is for a LOOOONG time if there isnt a change for the better really soon.

I have to agree with you here.....although they should start paying action fighters more to fight each other and make more exciting fights....Instead of putting stinkers in the ring with each other and paying them millions to dance around and play grab ass with each other......

cause if the sport doesnt produce money, people arent gonna want to get into boxing, especially when theres a sport just across the street that will make there fighters rich soon.

So the only way ur gonna be able to watch boxing in a few decades, is if you go there live or if the fight is on ESPN2, lol

So you SHOULD care if people are watching, because it indirectly affects how ull watch the game

even if mma gets more ppv buys, their top guys arent paid near as much as our top guys and that's a fact.

                    this is a useless thread.
