Is Floyd Getting A Bad Rap?

Theres a gif image of oscar hitting floyd and floyd flying back to the ropes and the ropes held him up. If the ropes weren't there, he would have been knock down. Some one posted it on these forums. I don't know who it was

You sound like Larry Merchant in the Pavlik fight. You guys sound dumb because you have to realize that the fighters know where the ropes are. You have to 1st understand what the rule was intended for. It was obviously intended for a fighter not being saved from a KD by the ropes but refs can tell the difference between when a fighter is saved by the ropes or when he knows the ropes are there and is using it.

Early in the Pavlik fight Merchant was screaming like a idiot saying that Miranda sat on the ropes so it shouldve been conisdered a KD. The ref was right there in his face and could clearly see that Miranda only did that because he knew the ropes were there. Fighters get hit all the time and fall back into the ropes. Most of the times there not big shots and there not hurt at all. There just using the ropes to bounce back. I didnt see that Floyd shot but I guarantee that Floyd knew the ropes were there and its the only reason why he fell back into them.

Also, to you and the others, this thread was not about the Floyd-Oscar fight so I dont know how it turned back into that

Winky Wright's face showed more damage after the Taylor fight, yet ppl thought he won. A bigger stronger man will do more damage even if he isn't landing as clean. There were definitely some big punches landed by Oscar in the fight.

Wasn't Taylors left eye nearly closed? Maybe this swelling was about 50% from headbuts, but he simply didn't looked that good.

Yeah he's great. He cant back up the trash he talks, sign of a real champion I guess, then refuses to throw more than 2 punches at a time against a guy who by all accounts was never the greatest and is somewhat diminished by age. The next Ali, eh?

enough goddamn floyd threads. if you mayweather fans were more secure about your fighter, you wouldn't make a hundred threads trying to defend him from other peoples opinions.
