So why is Pac-Man considered p4p number 1?

If JMM was filipino and Pacquiao was mexican, you'd argue Pacquiao won. You only base fighters based on their nationality homie.Comment

that is certainely an outstanding post , brother. totally agree. Pacman's resume may not be as great as winky. Only thing is Pacman defeats legends very convincingly, not just 'win', but in great fashion. I agree with you about Winky dominating Trinidad. Winky won, but he didn't "beat" Tito like Pacman "beat" Barrera and Morales. As of right now, I am baffled as too why Pac man is the unanimous number one p4p fighter in the sport. Let's look at his resume:
Notable Wins:
1: Marco Antonio Barrera: This was a very impressibe victory, however MAB was a little bit past his prime. Not to take anything away from Pac-Man, Mab did not seem to be at his best for this fight.
2: Eric Morales second bout: Again, a very impressive victory, but Morales was not in his prime, and the last war between seemed to have taken it's toll on Morales. A very good win, but like the MAB fight, Morales was not in his prime.
Notable loses/draws
1: Eric Morales: This was an all out war, and both men fought like champions, however Manny was out boxed in this fight, and loss to an Eric Morales slightly past his prime. I do think that he was almost at his best, but i am of the opinon that he was not as crisp as the post Barrera Morales
2: Juan Manuel Marquez: I firmly belive that Marquez won this fight. If you knock a man down three times in the first round you should wi the fight, bu Manny didn't. He has problems with Boxer-Punchers, and was outboxed in this fight as well.
Let's look at some other candidates for pfp number 1:
Winky Wright:
Notable Wins:
Shane Mosley1 and 2: Wow, the first Mosley fight was an incredible performance for Winky. He dominated a fighter whom was a top p4p fighter, and i belive he was not favored to win. The second was much closer, but Winky still managed to use his 1-2 jab straight shot combo to pund out a tough MD. These were two outstanding victories for Winky's resume.
Felix Trinidad: This was an utterly dominant performace for Wright, however Trinidad was a little over the hill. This was a solid victory for Wright, but not as impressive as his Mosley wins.
Jermain Taylor: I don't care if this fight was scored a draw, there is no way in hell Winky didn't win this fight. Moving up in weight and outboxing a younger stronger opponent, was very very impressive.
Notable Losses:
Fernando Vargas: This was the fight Winy made his name. He fought it with a young powerful fighter, and lost an EXTREMLY close Md. I thought the fight was a draw, but this was a tough fight for Winky, and he proved himself worthy of fighting elite fighters with this performance.
Rafael Marquez:
Notable Wins:
1: Israel Vaquez: WOW, this was a great fight, but Marquez's stiff jab was incredible in this fight, and he outpointed an extremly great champion in his prime. This may be the best win on any of these lists.
2: Mark Johnson 1 and 2: Mark Johnson was a perrenial p4p fighter, and Marquez shocked the boxing world when he upset him in their first fight. Then he went on and beat him more convincingly the second time. This launched Rafael Marquez onto the p4p scene.
3: Silence Mabuza: MArquez dominated this tough fighter twice, which i think were both impressive wins.
4: Ricardo Vargas: This is a tough little fighter whom was again outclassed by Marquez.
Those are my top 3 p4p guys as of now.
Overall: Manny is an excellent fighter with great abillity, but his resume isn't yet as good as the other two guys i mentioned ( imo).
As of now i'd rank the top 3 p4p like so:
1: Rafael Marquez
2: Winky Wright
3: Pacman.

I see alot of people think Winky should be number 2 because of his wins.
Lets see, he only got real respect after he beat Mosely the first time. Alot of you guys were saying Mosely was in his prime in this fight, but that was from the truth.
After Mosely fought Dela Hoya the second time, you guys can already tell that Mosely at 154 had slowed down alot, but still had good handspeed, but wasn't a combination punching beast like he used to be in 135 and 147.
Its still a good win for Winky, but dang do you guys really believe Mosely is anywhere near the same when he fought Hoya the first time. Mosley that fought Hoya would probably whoop on Winky at anytime of his career. The prime Mosely had terrific foot work and would use lots of angles and movement to step in and out and knows when to throw his punches and combos.
This is Winkys only real good respectable wins against Mosely twice.
Tito, is not even close. Hes a quiting ***** everytime someone beats his ass, he should just stay retired again.
Jermain Taylor it was a draw, I gave it to taylor do to more damage. Winky's punches where hella weak in that fight that Taylor was blocking with his head literally waiting to counter. Taylor did more damage with his punches while Winky pecked and didnt do much damage.
Ike Quarty - man a very old man at this stage of his career and it not what he used to be. Not much left, but enough to give winky a good fight.
As for Pac lets see.
MAB- alot of you guys say he was past his prime when Pac fought him. Well if he was past his prime. He has gone to win 6 to 7 straight fights before losing to JMM. MAB was clearly not past his prime when Pac fought him, but Pac was just to aggressive in that fight. Using combinations lefts and rights and going to the body alot. Amazing win against a P4P fighter at the time, I think he was top 5 at the time Pac fought him.
Erik Morales - First fight, Erik got him, but the gloves where an issue and Pac proved that in the second fight when he was knocking Morales around the ring early in the fight. Pac made him feel his power very early and later Morales was feeling the effects of those hard lefts to the chin and the body.
Not 1 but 2 good wins for Pac. Electrifying wins against a fighter that has never been knocked out before. Pac is the only one to do it twice!!
Oscar Larios - the heavier fighter for the fight as with most pac opponents ( moved up in weight but came in the bigger fighter, but Pac imposed his will and speed to win this fight. Oscar looked real good in this fight he even caught Pac with a visicous left hook that had Pac Hurt real bad. He showed the heart of a champion and shook it off and came back strong to win the fight.
Another good win.
JMM- a draw, but in one of the cards someone gave the first round 10-7 instead of the 10-6 round that it was. Pac would have won this fight if not for that card, but even then Pac wanted an immediate rematch to prove whose the best. JMM backed out and declined later on just to fight Chris John for less money. When someone ducks you like that and everyone knows it, thats when you know your respected and feared. JMM knows he will lose next time. Pac has improved alot since there first meeting and JMM has slowed a tad bit.
The fact that Pac wants to face all the good fighter, he can't do it anymore because of the ARUM and HOYA management teams. Pac wants those Golden Boy fighters, JMM, MAB, GUZMan all them, but he can't make a fight with them because Golden Body does not want to work with Arum. But when Golden Boy and Arum settle things then maybe we as fans can finally see some real fights once again with Pac mixing it up with any one of those guys. Doens't matter if he wins or lose, its the fact that he has the balls to fight anyone at anytime. While everyone else is fighting for money instead of greatness.
To the point, Pac is number 2 p4p because of the way he beat those guys and how impressive he looked doing it. He has fought the best competion available to him at that moment without any restrictions. The last 4 to 5 years he just been destroying guys to get where he is now and soon he will be number 1 once Floyd retires and Golden Boy and Arum agree to let Pac fight one of those Dela Hoya fighters.Comment
