I can't believe the people hating Ricky Hatton on this board. Some people devote much of their time here to discrediting him. Why? He's such a great guy - he's not boastful or arrogant, he doesn't trash other fighters, and he still has time for the friends and neighbors he grew up with.

I think if he really was as terrible as these people say he is, they wouldn't waste their time hating on him. Hatton gets more attention here than almost anybody. If he was really so bad, he'd be ignored. People ignore losers, but they get jealous of winners. Hatton's a winner - he's won every fight he's been in!

Why has Hatton not beaten a single person in the top 10 at 140?

At least a dozen of Hatton's wins have been against people rated in the top 10.

How little you know about boxing, $iN!

Name them. He has beaten none of the current top 10. In his career, Tsyzu and Maussa were the only top 10 guys he beat...

Because four years ago it was the most talent-filled top 10-15 of any one division in the history of boxing!

Phillips and Tackie were top 12-15 but realistically the level of a top 5 in other divisions.

This is actually Ricky Hatton's own argument (against Frank Warren) - so you obviously agree with him?

All Ricky could do was beat up whoever was put in front of him (and he beat Phillips and Tackie more impressively than Sharmba Mitchell did - the #1 contender to Tszyu). We always knew he was special, and yes we almost gave up on him (due to his promoter), but look where he is now.

Ofcourse, Frank Warren will argue that he did a perfect job - getting Ricky into the #1 contender spot and catching Tszyu at the right time.

But it was Ricky who almost hung up the gloves due to Warren's broken promises and inability to get the top guys, for years

That's nice. The fact is that 2 of his 42 wins are against top 10 fighters. Don't you think that's a bit pathetic? And since leaving Warren, he has done nothing but chase the worst titleholders in the divisions he's fought (Maussa, Collazo, Urango). He learned how to handpick opponents from Warren...

He's fought four world champions in his last four fights - and beat them all!
