OK you can say he should have been thrown in with the winner of Tszyu-Judah, but Ricky admits that he wasn't ready for them at that time and would have lost. At the time he thought he'd have beaten them, but now he realises he wasn't ready back then. He says the Krivolapov and Magee fights made him a complete fighter and improved his game more than the previous 20+ put together, because "Krivolapov turned me inside-out early on and nobody had done that to me up to that point, I was suprised and it was a wake-up call during the fight because I'd had everything my way in my career up to that point. Same with Eamonn Magee, he put me on the seat of my pants in next to no time and I've become a better fighter for it. I still thought I was the business and would blow Eamonn away."
Ricky made it perfectly clear after the Tackie fight that that was it, he was ready for anybody and that included Tszyu. Warren promised him Tszyu, Mitchell or Harris and when he could only get Pinto there was uproar. When he forced Ricky to fight another Sharmba pass-on (Vliches) when he was sick and on just five weeks notice, it marked the end..Last edited by GEOFFHAYES; 05-28-2007, 02:31 AM.

He's admitted the last couple of fights were bad, now he's putting it right.
