Hatton will get him up against the ropes and connect with some heavy body punches. Then Mayweather will slow down enough for Hatton to connect with a head punches, and it would soon end with a KO for Hatton.

How is he gonna corner him? what footwork ablities does he have to gert mayweather in a corner for long enough to connect cleanly?

The fact is that Floyd turned down a career high payday for a fight he himself described as "easy". Making the same purse for Baldomir is something which didn't transpire until well after the Baldy fight was made.

I'm realistic about Hatton's chances against Mayweather. It would easily be his hardest fight and he certainly would go into the bout with the odds against him. But being realistic also gives Hatton a chance, because he does have a hell of a chance. I've said before that if Floyd underestimates Hatton as much as his fans do then that's great for Ricky.

Although Hatton doesn't have Mayweather's hand speed (although he's fast too), he is very quick on his feet, fast enough to eventually get PBF into a corner and then hammer him with good body punches.

Faster feet than De La Hoya, a knack for finding angles and an ability to maximise the damage once he has a fighter cornered by sidestepping and throwing from angles.

Simple terms. Mayweather KILLS Hatton. On Hattons Blue Moon home court, on the Moon, the rings of Saturn, Hatton would eat so many straight rights, it would be funny. "Tis nothing but a flesh wound". That big ass head would be target practice for PBF. And you'd think Gatti looked bad...

Right, he couldnt get Juan Urango into a corner, and didnt hurt him with his body shots, indead he was the one who got hurt with body shots,

And you think he's gonna corner Floyd Mayweather Junior?

You dont think Mayweather can avoid being cornered when he's been in the ring with faster and more powerful guys than Hatton? Judah comes to mind.

That's very colourful and all, but what is your basis for believing that Hatton would be beaten worse than Gatti was? Why would an older, slower, less skilled and much travelled fighter fair better?

Also how will Mayweather kill hatton? I would put money on Floyd's hands breaking before Hatton's chin does...

Urango is much stronger than Mayweather, although much slower too. Remember Judah hurt Mayweather in an early round when he had him in the corner? Judah would have won that fight, if he had been able to continue what he did to PBF in the first four rounds for another round or two.

Urango was too big and strong to back up. Hatton outboxed him instead. Floyd would get backed up, I don't think that's really in doubt. The question isn't whether Hatton could make him step back, it's whether he could corner him against the ropes.

Why bring up Urango anyway? I thought you were filled with admiration for a fighter who uses intelligence to find a way to win... Hatton showed "technical skills" against Urango and now you're holding it against him... make up your mind!
