And floyd got that to fight THE REAL WW CHAMP. What is so hard to understand. Baldy beat Zab a bigger name than anyone on Marg's resume. Keep it up I can go at you all day with this.

It really isn't that hard for normal people to understand but the haters just can't seem to accept that they have no ground to stand on.

It wasn't like there was a fight with Baldomir or a fight with Margarito. At the time Margarito was calling him out there wasn't anyone else Mayweather was signed to fight. He was the only fight out there. So Floyd said there was no money in it, so he wasn't interested. Then Arum pulled the $8 million. Floyd said that it still didn't make sense because Margarito wasn't good enough... It was only after that point that the Baldomir fight surfaced, and it then became an obvious choice for Floyd. But this was after turning down a then career high payday to fight a guy he said he would easily beat.

Baldomir, the legit 147 champ, was an obvious choice. But at the time all thie Margarito business happened there wasn't a choice. Margarito was the only fight available to him, and it was for a career high payday.

Be serious, how the **** was arum going to guarantee 8 mill to fight a virtual nobody? All this calling floyd out **** only started after floyd left arum. You never heard anything about marg before that. Keep trying.

WHat difference does it make how he was going to do it? The 8 mil was on the table and was flatly turned down. It's not like Arum is destitute and would be reliant on ticket sales to make his money back...

Also Margarito was ranked second at 147 by The Ring, while Mayweather was ranked 1st. Which made it a logical matchup to a good many analysts...

Fighting Margarito for a paper belt is exactly why Brian Kenny on ESPN used to tear into him, claiming he wasnt the legit champ at 140, he was at 147, the logical fight for the p4p number 1 is to fight the undisputed champ at that division, and before that, the former undisputed champ (mind you the zab fight was set in stone before he lost to baldomir)

Your ridiculous, you would of been one of the morons hating on floyd for embarrasing a slow wide looping puncher like marg. Floyd knew he had more options out there he was trying for a fight with oscar, mosley and knew baldy would of been an option all who have fought higher caliber of fighters and would been better on his resume. Some people don't know when to quit.

To reiterate, I don't think that Mayweather "ducked" Margarito, and I certainly don't think Margarito would have beaten him, but if you're going to repeatedly bring up old and irrelevant news ("Ooh Hatton turned him down, he priced himself out blah blah") then you can't react with exasperation when someone else does the same.

I'm very much playing devil's advocate here.
