How RACIAL is Boxing? (2007)

Guys, you would be naive to think that boxing or most of the sports as a whole are not about race, they are as racey as it gets does not matter wether its America or Europe. And that is absolutely normal, not normal on the other hand, is to discriminate based on race or discriminate as a whole. People root for fighters and to root for someone, you need to associate with him and the first thing you look for(and actually see) in the fighter is his appearance, then their act and so forth. So, people rooting for a fighter based on his race, ethnicity, place of birth, etc.. is natural. And, well, I dont care who you root for nad what are the reasons, the only thing one should care is class and being able to judge unbiasedly.Comment

Yeah racism can be extreme on the continent, particularly in Italy and Spain. In Britain you would never get that sort of action nowadays. You did in the 70s though. The only team whose fans didn't throw bananas at black players in the 70s was Leeds United. That wasn't because they were not racist, it's because they are so ****** that they think that the bananas are an incentive...Comment
