spinks won this fight, i know there is already a thread but i think it is much more simple matter if you look at one good comparison.
roman karmazin did way more to beat corey spinks than jermain taylor did, and lost... why? cause he was the designated loser.... being that karmazin beat spinks up and had him reeling badly the final 3 rounds (and was the reigning champ) and lost it only makes sense that jermain taylor lost at least as bad if not worse... he never so much as hurt cory and certainly landed nowhere near what roman did.
quite simply, cory spinks had the script flipped on him "Karmazin style" he was nothing more than a designated loser for taylor, is was almost predetermined IMO. the rationale being that no matter what he does the decision can go to taylor under the pretense that spinks "never hurt taylor"
or "slapps like a wimp"
i like jermain, dont like cory, never have never will, but spinks won 7-5 on my card and a draw is acceptable but giving it to taylor 7-5 is starting to stretch
i guess i should also note that i tend to favor the guy stickin and moving when i score fights like this.. for instance i had ben rabah winning widely over juan urango even though he lost a lopsided decision.
