I can't help but be skeptical. I think Calzaghe wants to fight Taylor or Hopkins next. Kessler would be the toughest fight for him, and even if he defeats him, because Kessler's not American, it won't be recognized as a big win. The Calzaghe haters will just say Kessler was no good anyway.

For Calzaghe's sake, I would prefer him to fight an American: Taylor, Hopkins, Tarver or Wright. They would be easier wins and better for Joe's legacy.

Hopkins is not going to fight immediately after the Wright fight, so I don't see that as relevant. Calzaghe on the other hand could fight again by Feb. if he doesn't injure his hand too badly.

How do you know Hopkins won't want to fight again after Wright, or are you just assuming that? It's certainly possible for a Calzaghe vs Hopkins fight to be scheduled for sometime late in the fall. But I think Taylor would be Calzaghe's best choice, since he's undefeated and in his prime, yet still very beatable.

                    My God It's True!

I've just been informed by a reliable source, it's probably for real!

Calzaghe vs. Kessler, September 15/07 in Manchester. According to the source, it will be officially announced tomorrow.

Winky Wright an easier fight? Sorry brother, Winky Wright and easier should never be used in the same sentence.

So Calzaghe is pretty much never going to fight on US soil is he?
