    Boring!

Floyd's style isn't even much like Ray Leonard anyway. He's more similar to guys like James Toney and his dad and uncle, from the old school shoulder roll style he was taught.

So, you mean you got thrilled with his fight with Oscar? Or his fight with Grandpa GATTI? You're one in the world.

He was bless with speed but not power!

I think Mayweather has the best combination of performances at 130 and in other weight classes. Nelson is one of my favorite fighters but I think that Mayweather will get it. Obviously the great fight would be JCC-PBF.

Arguello-PBF would also be pretty fcking exciting.
Yeah when you stack all up against each other all of those matches would be all kinds of close.

Chavez/Mayweather looks a bit like Castillo/Mayweather to me...only Castillo was/is a poor mans version of JC Superstar. It'd be interesting to see how Floyd would stand up to a more intelligent Castillo type who was a better boxer on top of everything.

With Floyd/Nelson in mind...you'd have a draw a bit from Nelson's bout with Pea (even though Pernell and Floyd are a lot different). Floyd is more of a stand up fighter...less tricky, but more consistent. Again it's a case of Floyd fighting a physically strong fighter who changed himself into being a polished boxer. I hold Zoom in very high regard...the performance he gave against Jeff Fenech in their second fight was special.

Floyd/Arguello would be a burner. Arguello fought the cream of the crop at 130 man. I think a Nelson/Arguello fight may be the best of em all. I see those classic Arguello/Escalera bouts times two.

A great performance considering his relative inexperience at the time. The people who post these videos on youtube ruin them with the ****ty music.

This difference is so apparent by watching the fights that I would imagine that you have never seen one of the two fights, to make this ridiculous comparison.
Bro., I did watched both fights. Its easy to say Sugar is a fighter and PBF is a runner and is good for fighting aging boxers like Gatti & Oscar-they get tired easily of catching the runner. So PBF should be at 100-meter dash contest not in boxing, he made it a boring sport.

JCC-Mayweather would be great. What you point out about JCC-JLC si right, but the fight would be better than the Castillo fights, because Chavez would not be the bigger man by a sensible amount, like Castillo was.
              So... less running more fighting.

And of course JCC was a better boxer than JLC, but I think JLC skills are widely unappreciated here. People think he is just some brawler, but that's bull****. Mayweather fought bigger fighters, bigger punchers, fighters who threw more punches, faster fighters, and made them look silly, JLC never looked silly, he has great timing and he is much smarter than what he is generally given credit for, he is really the only opponent who did not go where Mayweather wanted him to be.

The reason i would pick Pbf over Nelson is Mayweather's focus in the ring. He is immensely concentrated and reads his opponent really well. This is almost greatness by itself. What puts him in a very restricted elite of fighters is that he does that every second of every minute of ever round. The guy was just born with wrinkles, Nelson was slightly more flamboyant and I think that would be decisive. (and yes Nelson-Fenech was nothing short of awesome)

Arguello-Mayweather would be one for the ages.

Another thing to lookout for when comparing them is that Chavez and Mayweather were probably not in their primes at 130.

if you watched both fights you would have noticed that PBf was way smaller than DLH, and Leonard and Hagler did not look that much different. So the comparison is ridiculous.

If you think Mayweather is boring or a runner, I suggest that

                1) you watch his fights at 130-135-140

                2) if you still think so, go watch Gatti-Ward and get excited. To each their own, I like boxing, you like slugging

He's 38-0 I don't think he chose the wrong sport. You don't win 5 titles in 5 different weightclasses running every fight. He so called ran in ONE FIGHT(Baldomir).
