    Floyd Mayweather vs Genero Hernandez

One of Floyd's most under appreciated performances against one of the best 130lbers ever in Genero Hernandez.

Remember that Floyd was just 21 years old and only had 17 professional fights. And look at the class of fighters he was fighting already, compared to the likes of who Cotto was fighting in his 18th pro fight. Or who Andre Berto is fighting now. Or who was Hatton fighting in his 18th pro fight?

I would definitely put Floyd in the Top 3 130lbers of all-time. He had very, very good power, he was probably the fastest 130lber ever, if not one of, was able to put combinations together very well, had great footwork and ring generalship, great defense and fought very smart, even though he was very young. He WAS the perfect fighter.

        fast but no power

As I watched this video, it proves two things, PBF's impressive speed and PBF's weak power. Most will agree with me that if PAC is the one giving those barrage of shots to Hernandez, it will be a KO.

There is no garuntee Pac would KO Hernandez or even beat him, Hernandez was good.

Plus the only other person he lossed to before that was Oscar Delahoya and i don't think Oscar knocked him out either. Hernandez would have beat Pac man Juan manuel Marquez style.

Oscar sure did knock him out, and more quickly than Floyd did (not that it matters). It was Oscar's nineteenth fight.

It was an impressive win for Mayweather.

Hernandez was the recognized top guy at 130, #11 on KO's p4p rankings, and never lost at 130 lbs before. He moved up in weight when he lost to DLH.

However I have to disagree with the notion that Mayweather was the fastest 130 lb fighter ever.

He was not faster than Hector Camacho Sr.
