    Bernard Hopkins: "There is no skill in MMA"

    Bernard said this on Jim Rome's radio show and Rome played it again on his television show.

    Bernard also said that you can go to any bar and get a MMA fighter.

    Rome basically said on his show that a boxer would win in boxing rules and MMA fighter would win in MMA rules.

    Also, MMA is not a Fad, it is here to stay.

    Chuck is on right now:

      I understand where he is coming from because there is more skill in boxing, but I would have to disagree about their not being any skill. Their is some especially on the ground, but in the stand up it's really no contest, boxers have the better skills. It's gonna be a arguement that people will discuss for years.

          Bernard said that you could find a MMA guy in any bar and there really is no skill to the sport.

            Chuck:

            On why MMA is taking over:

            more elements to MMA, more exciting...

            On Mayweather:

            They are Intimidated by what MMA are doing...also, he has a 135 pound fighter right now that would beat up Mayweather in MMA rules.

            He does say the same thing as Rome that it depends on what rules they are fighting with.

            He also mentioned how Mercer and Botha did not do well in MMA.
            {note, Mercer and Botha were shot fighters}

              Bernard Hopkins also said Edison Miranda was the true middleweight champ, so you can take that for what its worth.
              Hopkins would KO Liddell, though.

                  He said the same thing everyone else says. Boxer gets beat in the octagon and MMAer gets beat in the ring.
