Maybe if this fight happened 4 years ago it would have been more of a superfight. If that had happened I'm pretty sure floyd would have lost. The reason why I'm saying that is because he almost lost to an old past his prime de la hoya. I don't care what you floyd fans say but a split decision means you almost lost and he did. Imagine what would have happened if de la hoya was in his prime.

This fight was in Las Vegas against DLH, I honestly would have been more suprised with a UD for Mayweather, then with one of the judges being sympathetic to DLH, but IMHO that past his prime **** just doesn't work for me, cause DLH fought HARD, In my scorecard he won 2 of the first 3 rounds, & the last 2 rounds of the fight on pure aggression. He was tired coming down the stretch as usual, but in my opinion that's cause he spent the whole fight following Floyd around looking to land power shots when he should have worked of the jab, which would have made this a much more interesting & closer fight in the long run. Is DLH past his prime? yes, but not that much, & I think he still had it in him to outbox Mayweather, he chose not to.

I have been keeping quite on this subject, but after watching the fight a few times the best I give ODLH is 4 rounds, and that is being as fair as I can be. The problem with most people in here is that they expected a fight like DLH had with Mayorga. This is the biggest problem with this fight. There is no way DLH was going to do anything near that againg Floyd.

Now I am waiting for the people who say that Floyd won because he was running, to them I will say that DLH was lucky that floyd was boxing, because the few times that floyd started to go forward it was DLH how took the punishment, take a look at round 5.

Now, when DLH took Floyd to the ropes, do you really think he was doing great in most of those exchanges? I don't think so, I saw DLH throwing a bunch of punches not landing much if anything segnificant and wasting energy. This is the reason he lost, Floyd is better in every department.
