I was disappointed and surprised to hear him say that, but I wouldn't say he bitched up, he just told the truth. If the Pavlik fight brings a lot of money (which I think it will) he'll take it.

yeah he punked out on tv! saying he will fight however for the most money. that means that taylor is looking for money and not quality fights. he is saying without actually saying that he doesn't care about being the best by fighting the best, he's saying that he wants who will ever get him the big payday, leaving behind any kind of attempt to make a great legacy in this sport.

taylor and his camp are slowly turning him into a protected cash machine. each fight he seems to be regressing and getting worse, fighting the wrong game plan, not listening to his corner, being less effective in the ring, and being unable to stop and dominate smaller fighters. although the smaller guys he's been fighting have been a better level of competition than the ones he was fighting when he was up and coming, but he should still have dominated spinks and since he was hitting ouma at will he should've stepped it up and got the ref or ouma's corner to stop it, but he didn't, he let off the gas and gave his competitors a chance to get back in the fight.


the reason taylor wants to fight guys who will bring the biggest payday is because he knows that if he fights someone dangerous he has a VERY good chance at losing and losing a big payday, whereas if he fights blown up welterweights or jr middleweights, guys who have a bit of name to them, taylor will want to try and bank on them.

i'm willing to bet that in some time to come in the near future, taylor is going to thrown out the excuse for not facing pavlik is " no one knows who he is! "

then he'll say that he wants clazaghe but the money isnt right, so who is next? taylor will probably throw out some ridiculous name like Vargas if he beats Mayorga.....
