Warren: Skelton or Sprott to get title shot (Definately this time)

Busy with work at the moment, hope to be around later to pick up on this, but i just had to post this up. lol

SKELTON OR SPROTT TO GET TITLE SHOT

Promoter Frank Warren claims that the winner of the Matt Skelton v Michael Sprott showdown will definitely fight for a world title.
Skelton (40) and Sprott (32) lock horns on Saturday in a Commonwealth heavyweight title fight and according to Warren the winner will get a shot at one of the world crowns.

The head of Sports Network said: "I will guarantee one of these guys will fight for a world title.

"I don't want to say we are going for a particular champion, but I believe we are in a strong position because we bring British TV into the equation. We also bring good fighters and big gates.

"We can achieve a world title fight. I am not going to elaborate on who it will be at this moment in time because we are working on all the champions."

He's on record now, one of these guys will get a title shot.

    lol.

His always saying that, it sounds so ridiculous.

He said after the first Williams-Skelton fight. He couldn't make a world title fight or even a European title fight. Then Skelton won the 2nd fight, he couldn't get him a world title fight either. He told Harrison he would get a world title fight after 7 fights contract, he got sparked out. Now he is promising again for a world title fight betweens sprott and skelton. Considering they are not even ranked in the top 10 by IBF, WBC, WBO or WBA. It would mean getting the Champion to make a voluntary defence.

i think the only chance of getting a world title fight is if skelton beats sprott, he is ranked 11 by WBO and as warren sleeps with the WBO he could some how get a title shot, but a title eliminator for the wbo is more likley

How comes sprott pulls out the day before the fight? you think he just knew today that he couldnt fight?

Jesus, Skelton has been on a long layoff already this means hes gonna be very rusty and plus with his age time is running outs.

                lol.

Michael Sprott has been forced to withdraw from his Commonwealth Heavyweight title challenge against Champion Matt Skelton through injury.

The Reading fighter injured a muscle in his left leg during a training session late last week.

Following expert medical assesment Sprott has been advised not to go through with the fight and to rest. The injury is not career threatening and Sprott has been told he can resume training in a couple of weeks.

They should have replaced him with hays lol

Let's hope none of these guys waste our time in title fights. If you've seen, for one, Sprott vs. Chagaev you know he's not world class.

Hmmm, im not sure if sprott thought he was ready, by the way.......

He's crap, and shouldnt get a title shot, the shot shoould go to williams or Harrisson who have the best chance,

If see the words "Skelton" and "boxer" in the same sentence one more time, i'll enforce the trade descritiptions act.
