Zab Judah: "I Want To Punish Miguel Cotto"

That's cause he can't son. You ever heard Cotto try and talk? He can barely speak English. He mumbles and ****. It's obvious why he doesn't try and talk himself up. He's a pretty humble dude, but I'm sure he'd be more vocal if the American public could fully understand him.
And dudes still talk and get the job done. It's not one or the other. Look at Floyd.
All this being said, I like both Miguel and Zab. I just want a great fight and a little touch of smack talking won't take anything away from it.Comment

You see the post-fight interview with him and Cotto on ESPN a few weeks back?
Real Zab: "How you doin Miguel?...What's goin on?...Congratulations to you too..."
Fight mode Zab: "When they lock you into that ring with me, you're 100% owned to Zab super Judah until I choose to finish you. Then the next day I'll be out there with Tito Trinidad and my boy Fat Joe."
I think you could classify fighters like Ricardo Mayorga and Mike Tyson as being punks, not Zab so much.Comment

Good point. But as I said, I think Cotto is pretty humble and seems like a good dude. Zab is just being Zab. He's hardly a punk. Don't buy into all the **** talking like that's the only side of Zab.

I disagree with you. Everything about Judah's demeanor leads me to believe that. In the ring, out of the ring, ****ing anywhere. I never got anything near that impression about Mike Tyson.Comment

Not even when he ****s women and goes to prison, bites someone's ear off, says extremely gruesome and violent things to opponents, beats up a KO'd Savarese for a good 20 seconds after the ref steps in, etc etc etc??Comment

I am not saying I love trash talking leading up to a fight, but it really doesn't bother me. Zab is who he is...and that is a guy that likes to try to mess with his opponents by talking badly about them. If his opponents are thinking about what he is saying instead of what he will be doing in the ring then its a winning tactic. I don't think in this case the talk fazes or even concerns Cotto. In sum, Zab isn't a punk but I do think he will be worn down over the fight on June 9th.Comment

I just never got that impression about Tyson when it comes to him as a fighter. Through it all, whatever he got caught up in. He's a real fighter if nothing else.Comment
