Taylor is losing fans more and more with each fight.
He won't lose me but you are 100% correct on everything you said.

I dont dislike him, in fact I think that he is one of the most talented fighters out there and has the ability to be known as a great exciting fighter. I have never been an adamant fan of his, but I do like to see him win. He needs to use his ability to dominate and not do enough to just win. He has had many close fights because of his inability to dominate. His urgency in the last round should have been present much earlier.

On another note, I will say that I will not pay to see him fight the way that he has been. He seems content to just win, instead of winning to impress, and that will affect his worth in the long run.

His fights were way closer than they should have been. Correct?

I still like him be I can't Protect him the way I did for the 1 - hopkins fights and 2 - the winky Wright fight.. 3 - and saying how Ouma has such a good chin before taylor couldn't knock him out.

Hopefully he fights plavik or calzapunk and K.O's one of them.
Right, that's my point. You're judging him on fights where it's impossible to look good. Has anyone ever looked good against Hopkins? Even beating him? What about against Wright? Nobody has ever been impressive against those guys- that's their game- be defensive, pick a spot and punch, cover up, back away, blah blah. He won every round against Ouma. Ouma has never been stopped. Spinks would never stay in punching range, or set his feet to punch, not once. Spinks wasn't trying to win, just to survive. Sure, I would've liked him to stop Ouma and Spinks, on paper he maybe should have.

But I still say his defining performance is coming soon, even if it's a loss. The guy has heart and loves to throw, and just needs someone who will exchange with him. Especially early. Calzaghe anyone? That would be a dream fight, probably a FOTY.

Atleast I see someone that likes him as much as or even more than I do... He won't lose me but I'm just a lil disappointed.. I was thinking he would DOMINATE these last 2 fights..

Hell I almost bet on a Weaky Wright KO.

            I was never a fan.

I didn't think he won either of the Hopkins fights. If anything the first fight should have been a draw for sure and I would have denied Taylor a rematch on that outcome and we could have said goodbye.

But HBO wanted him to become the goldenboy of the middleweight division so they made it so. And now look what we have, a very unexciting, uninspiring fighter.

Spinks didn't run in that Judah fight and it cost him

Spinx is a boring, terrible matchup for anyone. Even the Zab fights weren't good, except in a couple spurts when Spinks let himself relax. Spinx KNEW Taylor could stop him with one punch, he never relaxed, never engaged other than ONE counter try, or a moving jab. It's nearly impossible to be impressive against a quicker fighter who isn't trying to win, who is just trying to survive. Taylor has fought some of the toughest fighters to look good against of any current fighter, defensive fighters- Hopkins, Wright, Spinks.

It's poor matchmaking, so blame Lou Dibella. Taylor loves to ****, but Lou isn't allowing him in with anyone who will fight with him. Hopkins did late, but only when he saw Taylor had gassed. Let's wait and see if Lou will let Taylor fight Calzaghe or Pavlik. I think this entire fickle board will do a miraculous flip-flop. Win or lose, Taylor will be exciting in either of those fights. And I think he wins either, also.

                  My sentiments exactly, great post!

I think Taylor has taken a little bit too much unnecessary criticism until now. Nobody looks "good" fighting Bernard Hopkins and I thought Taylor did enough to win both of those fights (although they were close). I thought Taylor was slightly outpointed by Wright but a draw was not an unthinkable decision so I was fine with that. He clearly beat Ouma even if it wasn't "impressive." But I thought he was slightly outpointed by Spinks and that is disappointing. Spinks will make you look bad but I agree with Steward if he can't hurt you, take some chances to land some clean punches. Especially knowing Spinks is suceptible to the KO.
