Where did all these Pavlik fans come from?

the only thing I dont like is when people incredibly overrate a fighter based on one good performance. Pavlik is a force in the division... but he is not the strongest brawler from 160 to 175 like someone said.

Also, is when people will go from Pavlik and then jump onto the next big performer the next month or so. Kind of annoying.

Also, its basically half the people becoming major Pavlik fans. I guess its just more fun to have more variety, but whatvever, lol. Pavlik was impressive and exciting, no doubt, so thats good enough for me.

agreeed, miranda was tailor made for pavlik, so long as pavlik had the balls to fight the plan which was really the most impressive part.

obviously to beat taylor, pavlik is going to have to win a different kind of fight, one he isnt comfortable with at this point.

im so excited about pavlik mainly cause hes very good now and hes only 25... couple that with his 6'2.5 frame and he could grow into an imposing 175 pounder over the next 5 years...

Pavlik deserves his new fans

I'm happy to see Kelly Pavlik has a lot of new fans, he's earned recognition and praise because of the great performance he gave us Saturday night! He deserves every positive word posted about him on this website.

There will be some bitter people who will be jealous of the attention he's getting, and try to put a negative light on it (like this thread) but I say people, there's nothing wrong with becoming a fan of a fighter after you see a great performance like Saturday night. New fans are as much real fans as old fans, don't let anyone convince you otherwise!

pavlik is hardly a sacrifice

there is a reason that edison miranda was a nobody for the longest time

there is a reason guys keep lining up to fight him

he can be beaten, and beaten soundly, he has maken his matches very carefully despite what you may believe

Eastman was washed up, Gibbs is damaged goods, and Green was at a disadvatage w/ the 162 lb catchweight, plus his resume is weak at best

pavlik will get his right hand home sooner and more often than edison miranda... and mirandas chin is nothing to write home about...

dont get me wrong i like both fighters, i just think it is fairly obvious that pavlik has the recipe to defeat miranda and i think he has the balls to step in the pocket and beat miranda to the punch.

when pavlik knocks miranda out people will be all over his scrotum

I gotta be honest, I first saw him against Zertuche and I liked but I didn't expect him to beat Miranda especially by tko. I am def a fan now and I think he could beat Taylor b/c taylor has looked like **** recently not just the spinks fight.

I liked Pavlik since the Mckart fight.Then after the Zertuche fight,I liked him a little more.Now after the Miranda fight,im a big fan of the guy.Plus it was a little satisfying to see the "Pavlik's overhyped because he's white" crowd humbled.

You guys are silly. What do you expect us to do, pledge allegiance to fighters? I take my hat off to a great performance, and criticize a poor one. There's no sense in being a 'fan' of a particular guy. I'm a fan of a good fight. That's a much more sophisticated mentality and it has nothing to do with "bandwagon jumping."
