I watched the Miranda-Pavlik fight today, must say i dont think Pavlik is the future of the Middleweight division, and nor is miranda.

Miranda's defence is bad, really bad, can't defend straight rights, Jabs, rights to the body (based on this fight)

Pavlik fought good tactics to begin with, Miranda was shocked when Pavlik came out at the bell to press him back with shots, he obviously was exepecting to be the agressor and didnt have a plan B, Pavlik was right Miranda cant be as effective going backwards.

Lennox Lewis called it spot on (again), he said before the fight if pavlik threw straight shots and backed him up, he could win the fight, his straight right was his best punch.

Pavlik defended quite well, i think he traded a little too much towards the end (something else lewis said he shouldnt have done) when he should have taken distance and fired rights to the body, Miranda was still live for most of the fight and hit pavlik with some bombs throughout the fight.

Miranda didnt get 'killed', he always had a punchers chance, round 2 he had pavlik hurt bad, and in other round he clearly hurt pavlik with right hooks and right hands, at one stage he landed 3 straight in a row.

So yeah, was great to watch if you like a scrap, little actual technique, although pavlik did begin to pick his shots a little more and does have skills.

He has rightfully earned his new fans. When you put on two exciting impressive performances in a row on free TV it is inevitable that you are going to gain a lot of repect from people. Most people hadn't really seen him before the Zertuche fight.

He has more fans now because he's more mainstream and I like him because he shut the loud mouth up. He bullied the bully!

dude, you fought Clinton Woods? that must feel pretty awesome seeing where he is now, lol.

Some were minor fans, but the most of these fans are Bandwagoners. As soon as he loses they'll hop on someone else's ****.

I had not seen any of him until the fight, and I was thoroughly impressed. My apologies.
