Thanks for the video; he looks kinda decent, has a good hw frame and looks to have some good power, although the video wasn't all that inclusive.

You know what I would like to see; a hw card with some U.S. prospects vs European ones. I think it would sell and could be a 'launch board' for some of these guys to get more name recognition.

The promoters of the young American heavies need to grow some balls and match their guys against either each other or the top young Euros. Otherwise they're going to walk backwards into a championship fight and get embarrased, as has been the trend.

But this needs to be done with taste and not with jingoistic flavor

There's nothing wrong with alittle competition between countries or 'continents' as would be in this case. Right now you have "The Contender: US vs UK" which is done with taste as well as pride and competitiveness.

And I agree with your comment about American promoters and fighters; they should start taking some tough fights and stop over-hyping their fighters like they're the next Mike Tyson or Evander Holyfield. The Europeans are, really for the most part, fighting better competition early on, rather than padding their records to stay undefeated save Nicolay Valuev.

Yeah, we Americans give a crap to a handful of European fighters (and deservedly so) for not fighting the recognized top fighters around them, but we really need to start casting some of that criticism to all the young heavies in our own country. It is pathetic. It isn't even like any of them are getting major hype either. They are being protected for no real reason.

Probably not the best vid of Vichis, who has improved steadily from what I've seen.

Does tend to hold his hands low, which could get him into trouble, but he's pretty quick in getting them up when necessary & not too bad at moving out of the way of punches.

Very good handspeed for a big man as well, & actually punches in combinations.

Would appreciate full uploads of fights as well, especially Chagaev bout.

He knocked out Robert Hawkins, a very durable guy who has lost decisions to big punchers like Samuel Peter, David Tua and contenders like Jean Francois Bergeron, Eddie Chambers.

Funny thing is he is the same Nationality as Wladimir as well, Ukrainian.

Btw Virchis is 6'5, Big guy with power...I will upload his fight with Ruslan Chagaev so you guy's can witness the Robbery as well. I had the fight even through round 10 and then Vladimir hurt Chagaev in the 11th and had him in the ropes hurting him in 12th.

The crowd boo'd the decision. I think a rematch should happen.

                  Interesting Fact:

Virchis is Chagaev's stalmate and a good friend of his.

virchis reminds me a bit of vitali klitschko minus the upper body movement. he has the same heavy handed power. thats impressive if he got robbed against chageav as chageav is a very solid all around fighter
