I respect pavlik, he is a likeable guy, but the one thing that stands out in my mind is that he gets hit, and Miranda is very heavy handed. Pavlik is tall and lanky there is no way he is strong enough to keep Miranda from getting inside and dropping bombs on him. People like to speak of Pavliks power, but I doubt he hits harder than alan green. I give this fight 5 rds at the most before the ref steps in and stops the onslaught...

If he does that, Miranda will easily identify the right angle for the big right hand over the top of Pavlik's jab...It's just a matter of time for Pavlik to show Miranda that angle. So, you might see Pavlik land a few jabs, but be wary. Once Miranda connects and Pavlik feels that world-class power, he will be destined for destruction. Kelly Pavlik was taking shots vs Zertuche and McKart, I can give you a personal guarantee that if he eats those same punches vs Miranda, his consciousness will be removed from this earth. His defense is pregnable, and Miranda is just the right person to impregnate it. He's there to lose, maybe he doesn't know it yet, but he will. Miranda is destined to defeat Jermain Taylor and be a great reigning champion, he was dealt some very harsh cards as a child, and as a result of that has indominatable will and heart like no other fighter on the face of this earth, MMA or Boxing. He is one person I would seriously be afraid to fight. I'll never forget this look that Edison Miranda gave Allan Green.

Green entered the ring first, and Miranda walks in. He comes up to the ring, smiling at the crowd, waving, then as he pulls the top rope to enter the ring, his face went expressionless as he glanced over at Green for about one second. It was a look that I know, intimidated Green. It was better than any kind of inimidation tactic I've ever seen. It was scarier than any kind of look Tyson ever gave any of his opponents. He's the king of intimidation.

You won't need luck for Pavlik, or Taylor. Those fights will be won on skill, natural talent, will, and discipline. Which you surpass both fighters in. Taylor may have a small edge in skill, but your chin is way better than his and you punch harder. I feel sorry for both Pavlik and Taylor, I would hate to have to fight Edison Miranda!..

Great post Square, I actually was going to miss the fight saturday but after reading your analysis I don't know how anyone could miss it. Anyways, Miranda really is unique, and is of a different type of breed of boxer than most, and is worth getting excited about. Hopefully, he fullfils and exceeds everyone's expectations saturday night.

I've got 350 bucks on a Miranda win at the local bookie...I upped the ante over my previous bet.

Pavlik just stands no chance and I got great odds since my betting house is located in Ohio...They are a sucker for that guy being the hometown hero but Miranda is going to murder him.

I can't decide, it will be a great fight tho. I'm leaning slightly towards Pavlik.

Pavlik is a well polished offensive fighter that can absolutely CRACK!

Miranda must take Kelly out early or I think Pavlik will brutally stop Edison around round 8. If Edison begins backing up at all within the first 3 rounds it will be a first sign indicator of reall trouble for Team Miranda.

As the fight wears on Miranda's shots will get wilder and WIDER and the one thing Kelly does is throw hard precise shots.

Both men I believe have a bit of a chin issue, maybe I shouldnt even go that far but lets just say that I believe both men can and will be hurt. The difference being the offensive polish of Pavlik-Miranda will be the worse for wear because of this precise polish that Pavlik I believe has..

Kelly is by far the biggest fighter Miranda has ever fought and he will hit Miranda with shots he has never been hit with before...keep in mind Eastman had Miranda out on his feet at the end of I believe the 4th...sure he came back like a real champion but I just believe that if Edison doesnt take Kelly out early he will only get sloppier and be as Barry Tompkins would say " be an open book" for Kelly Pavlik.

Pavlik is the star here not Miranda...Pavlik in 8.

Should be a wonderful night for us cult fans regardless of the winner!
