Miranda or Pavlik? Who you got?

Many are giving Pavlik quite a chance when he goes up against Edison Miranda. Miranda is not geared for a defeat against Pavlik right now. If Kelly Pavlik thinks he can keep a tiger like Miranda on the end of his jab all night, which is his only chance, he's in for a big suprise. If he does that, Miranda will easily identify the right angle for the big right hand over the top of Pavlik's jab...It's just a matter of time for Pavlik to show Miranda that angle. So, you might see Pavlik land a few jabs, but be wary. Once Miranda connects and Pavlik feels that world-class power, he will be destined for destruction. Kelly Pavlik was taking shots vs Zertuche and McKart, I can give you a personal guarantee that if he eats those same punches vs Miranda, his consciousness will be removed from this earth. His defense is pregnable, and Miranda is just the right person to impregnate it. He's there to lose, maybe he doesn't know it yet, but he will. Miranda is destined to defeat Jermain Taylor and be a great reigning champion, he was dealt some very harsh cards as a child, and as a result of that has indominatable will and heart like no other fighter on the face of this earth, MMA or Boxing. He is one person I would seriously be afraid to fight. I'll never forget this look that Edison Miranda gave Allan Green.

Green entered the ring first, and Miranda walks in. He comes up to the ring, smiling at the crowd, waving, then as he pulls the top rope to enter the ring, his face went expressionless as he glanced over at Green for about one second. It was a look that I know, intimidated Green. It was better than any kind of inimidation tactic I've ever seen. It was scarier than any kind of look Tyson ever gave any of his opponents. He's the king of intimidation.

You won't need luck for Pavlik, or Taylor. Those fights will be won on skill, natural talent, will, and discipline. Which you surpass both fighters in. Taylor may have a small edge in skill, but your chin is way better than his and you punch harder. I feel sorry for both Pavlik and Taylor, I would hate to have to fight Edison Miranda!..

Pavlik is a good fighter no doubt about it but I'd have to give the edge to Miranda in this one. I wouldn't be stunned if Pavlik won but with Miranda's agressive style and punching power Pavlik would have to box the perfect fight. In either case it will be by far the best of the two fights Saturday night and in my mind is really the headliner.

From what I understand, Pavlik isn't planning to box with him...He's planning to come in and make him fight moving backwards, this is going to be a very interesting bout.

Also, Doug Fischer from minimumboxing.com says 'It's too close to pick one but if he had to pick he goes with Pavlik' ...That baffles me, this guy has a respected opinion and he said that...

I'm picking Miranda but it's not an easy pick. Pavlik is the sounder boxer, without a doubt. He won't be intimidated like Green was. And let's remember that Miranda does not respond well to adversity (in the whole Miranda-Abraham controversy what was forgotten was that Miranda showed too little self-control). But, Miranda should eventually be able to land some big shots once Pavlik starts letting his hands go. Can Pavlik take them?

Has Pavlik ever been visibly hurt? I haven't seen much of him.

Not to my knowledge, but his competition has not reached this level. You're not going to fight MIranda without taking big shots. And whether Pavlik has chin is unknown to me at least, and maybe to everyone.

pavlik is the better boxer, but miranda is too strong for him. i see pavlik being overwelmed around 8 rounds.
