Hopkins beat fighters moving up, Floyd moved up to beat fighters.

Hopkins moving up to beat Tarver is not comparable to Floyd beating Oscar.

The only thing in Hopkins favour is his age.

IMO Floyd did more and more convincingly.

          BHOP :

          WINS

          Winky Wright
          Antonio Tarver
          Howard Eastman
          William Joppy
          Oscar Dela Hoya
          Felix Trinidad

          LOSSES
          Jones Jnr

To me its clearly Floyd with the better record, the more impressive wins against bigger opponents.

Mayweather retired in his prime, while worthy challengers loomed. That counts a lot to me. Why did he retire? Was it a duck?

Hopkins get's the nod in my book.
