Jeff lacy

The scar from his shoulder surgery at the end of last year is long and nasty, but Lacy says he's at about 80 percent and plans to fight again in the fall. We wish him a setback-free recovery and hope to see him back in the ring as soon as possible. There are plenty of good fights out there for him. Peter Manfredo's handlers have their eye on him.

Read that on ESPN. I dont see him coming back until Jan. at the earliest, unless hes a good healer. Apparently he is if hes already 80%.

Vitali Kiltchko had a very similar injury in his fight with Chris Byrd years back and quit on his stool in the 11th rd while up big on the cards.It goes to show the heart fo Jeff Lacy.......

Yeah Vitali Klitchko had a similar injury, didnt agitate it and fought 7 months later. If Jeff Lacy doesnt fight till '08 itll be over a year for him. It goes to show that it was a good choice for him.......

LOL if Jeff Lacy is your fave fighter you must have felt torn up watching the Calzaghe fight.

I remember the Hamed vs Barrera fight when I was a youngling...and I felt emotionally hurt. However MAB cheated so it made the pain easier. But Lacy got absoloutely ****.d

He probably hurt it during training.He had a couple of good rounds at the start but faded as the pain got to great.

As for the injury,my daughter suffered a torn rotater cuff...she was a basketball player.It took her more than a year to get back at full speed.

As for Jeff's career...that beating he took from Calzone,is a tough thing to recover from.He is young,but in the long run,given his style of fighting...he may be better off not coming back.Hopefully he has other options...
