  • Hatton vs Mayweather...? lol Can't be serious

How can you guys even be suggesting, let alone going out of your way to make a Hatton vs Mayweather fight somthing "acceptable" by the public????

Hatton doesnt have the reach, power, or speed to catch Mayweather. Do you really think Floyd would just freeze and go into permenant defense when Hatton tries to smuther him? Floyd isnt Urango, or Kostya zsu. Floyd can officially fend off Hatton with effective short punches if Hatton tries to smuther, with EASE. Would be such a One Sided fight. No disrespect to Hatton, dude is dedicated and a threat to alot of fighters.

Now I said that a fight between Oscar and Floyd was rediculous, I said that before the Oscar and Floyd fight even was officially going to happen. Can check my posts. Floyd callin out a past prime fighter like Oscar, when he has Cotto, Margarito, **** even Cintron and Bojado will be in the mix ina year or two. And I just heard he called out trinidad...but n/m, save that for another conversation.

Nonetheless, Oscar did show up and pretty much killed Floyd's status if you ask me. Oscar is a done fighter and still managed to handle Floyd. **** I had that fight even at 10 rounds into it, 5-5. Take a look at that, and you can tell why Floyd is callin out retired and past prime fighters. He knows his skills are limited and he wants to retire with his goose egg intact.

But you ******s say a fight like Hatton vs Mayweather "should happen." Your just givin Floyd a easy way out.

Floyd doesnt wanna real fight, he wants some easy outs...As the public, force him into a real fight if you want some great Boxing within the next 3 or 4years.

Miguel Cotto's name and ONLY his name, should be the name of the man that Floyd should fight next...for now atleast.

Hattons penis would break floyd. Hattons white, so he doesn't deserve a shot at floyd... Is that basically what you said?

Cotto needs to worry about Zab! By the way Oscar did next to nothing with Floyd.

        hahaha cintrion and bojado?
get the **** out of here.
Floyd should be facing legit competition, not bojado, margirito and cintrion.
what a joke of a thread.

            lmfao

but no, lol im pretty positive thats exactly what im not saying. im saying, if luis collazo can outbox hatton, floyd would dismantle hatton. thats such an easy fight, that if the public pushed for it enough, floyd would actually take that fight before any real legit bout.

now hattons great, i can actually see him givin castillo problems in his next fight. just the're other fighters out there that A.) deserve a shot at mayweather and B.) would give floyd a better fight than hatton would.

use your brain on this one, a year from now...maybe 3, whos names are you going to be hearing? ok, now are you really that dense, that you just CANT imagine bojado and cintron making noise in the future? given their talents?...seriously. is that so hard to believe, that bojado and cintron will make strong comebacks?

I think Collazo beat Hatton but not by more than a point or so...i think that flash knockdown in round 1 lost Collazo the fight...

Having said that, i dont think Hatton's performance vs Collazo should be used as a barometer of his potential success vs PBF.

PBF struggled with JLC in their first fight, but PBF successfully moved up in weight after this...

I see PBF getting a UD over Hatton, if the Hatton that fought Collazo turns up, however if Hatton returned to previous form, i can see him pushing PBF every inch of the way in a much closer fight.

I'd still give PBF the edge though, but it would be more entertaining and less one sided than people think, if Hatton was on form.

I think it would be a great clash of styles and would be an excellent fight to watch

lol your actin like i put a gun to floyds head, and told him to call out retired and past prime fighters.

ok, if im a "floyd hater" and your a "floyd lover"(lolewthatsoundedtotallygay). wouldnt you, even as a fan of his rather see him try to dismantle ATLEAST ONE of our times greatest fighters? or you perfectly ok with him fightin past prime fighters?

see, we should be agreeing on this.

yeah, i wouldnt be surprised if floyd would be able to TKO hatton. ricky doesnt have the best defense. it would be a great fight though, cause you know rickys gonna go all out, but with floyd talkin about retiring this early....he should choose a fight with one of the more elite-modern fighters.

you'd think floyd wouldnt retire this early though, especially when theres so much talent right at his level...a fight with hatton, i can see it happening if floyd wasnt talkin about retiring. take ricky to a ppv event, and go to work like it was just another day at the office. but to end his career on that fight? lol yeah, i dont think so. seems like a jip if you ask me.

i think cotto and floyd were meant for eachother, both stalky and dangerous for eachother.

cotto goin to work on floyds arms and body when floyds in his shoulder D, floyds speed pot shottin at cottos chin. somthin tells me that would be a great fight.
