That doesn't mean he doesn't want the fight. You make it sound like he canceled the fight himself. Kessler - Calz not happening is equally to blame. Warren is horrible and tries to milk his boxers. Its a shame because I think Calz is the best British boxer since Lewis.

This means Taylor Calzaghe is likely to happen.

Cant criticise Joe on this one, Taylor is possibly the best guy out there he can fight.

Boxingpromoter Mogens Palle are not going to meet Calzaghe's Promoter Warren to discuss the terms for a fight between the 2 champions.
The 2 promoters originally had arrenged a meeting in mid May, a meeting Palle now has canceled.

" When I read that Warren and Calzaghe are going to the USA to see Taylor fight May 19. I see no reason to meet warren before that fight has taken place" Palle says.

Welsh Joe Calzaghe announced a week ago taht he hopes to meet Taylor in his next fight. That statement has annoyed Palle.

"I see no reason why I should play this game if Warren goes to USA afterwards to make a deal with Taylor" the danish promoter says. At the same time Palle says that he will start negotiatons about a meet with the australian Anthony Mundine"

Palle wants to put pressure on Frank Warren, that this fight with Kessler might also slip through FW`s fingers. Since we all know that Taylor-Calzaghe is pretty unlikely to happen, it puts pressure on FW, and gives Palle an edge in negotiations

Palle is just trying to telling him that if the "imaginary" fight against Taylor shouldn't get sealed then Kessler might just be occupied elsewhere ...leaving Joe Calzaghe another Manfredo

Course he's second choice. If he really wanted Calzaghe he should be happy in being second choice cos there's a quite decent likelihood that Calzaghe's first choice wont come off.
