The casual fans pay the money, they are allowed to have their say. If they dont like watching PBF fight cos he runs too much, or Hatton fight cos he hugs too much, that's their right.

However, we discussing it here should have a little more knowledge and should be capable of thinking about it in a more intelligent way. Which is why I dont think either of them should be criticised for their style of winning until it is no longer a successful style. Hatton has never been disqualified for his hugging and as far as I'm aware has very rarely if ever been docked points for it, until he does, then he is using a perfectly legal technique to allow him to win.

If you see the amateur boxing you would no that most are runners. and i makes them win without any then shall be it. Many other fighter are doing somethnig worse than hugging and running like low blows headbutting and even use of steriod but one of the most insulting thing in boxing is someone who does not train for his fight properly

I've seen Hatton fight about 4 times, and I've seen him man hug his opponent in each one, can't say for any previous fights, as I have not seen them.

all boxers use the 'hug' its actually called a clinch and is within the rules of the game. If you dont like the rules, go and watch MMA

Mayweather sometimes uses a lot of movement (Baldomir, Castillo II), some call it "running", other times he trades (Corley, Ndou) or comes forward (Judah), he just adapts to his opponent.

Hatton used to be fun to watch but lately he's become too much of a clincher for my liking.

I think Calzaghe does slap his share of punches, but maybe that's the best for him since he has injury prone hands. Also, they're probably fairly heavy to begin with so the slapping still hurts.

I was just speaking for the way the fight played out not considering if he would have made adjustments..Obviously he probably would have because he wasnt doing it because he was getting his butt handed to him like Tszyu did it in retaliation in hopes of slowing Hatton down...Just putting it into perspective without adding or taking away any variables but I understand what you guys are saying though...I was just speaking as the fight stood as we saw it without changing anything.

Its a shame what made Hatton popular over in the UK he didnt carry over here...For some reason or another Hatton feels he has to try to box and I dont understand why...If Hatton would be Hatton he would be HUUUUUUUGE over here...Hatton is a very likeable guy inside and outside of the ring and you shouldnt mess with success...But for the most part Hatton has ****** here..Damn shame...

I would love to think Castillo vs Hatton would be a war but Castillo is only great if his opponent is great how many snooze fest have we had with Castillo and him saying it was his opponents fault???..If Hatton fights Castillo the way he has been as of late the fight will suck...But hopefully Hatton brings it to Castillo...Although my prediction is Hatton will knock this guy out late in the fight...

My take is you do what you got to do within the rules of the sport. God made us with different strengths so you use your own strengths to be successful. Hatton uses his strengths and so is p4p rated and unbeaten. Hatton might not be unbeaten if he slapped like Joe or ran like PBF. And PBF probably couldnt stand there and hug and be unbeaten.
Only fans of PBF accuse Hatton of wrestling and hugging, and probably Hatton fans acuse PBF of running.

running is allowed just not praised... hugging and holding at every exchange is subject to point deduction
